Regional Elections: Christian Estrosi is going to step on the gas

Latest News

He had announced it: for him, this regional election will be a battle. And his commitment will be unwavering. Moreover, the early signs predict a campaign that will be full of enthusiasm.

For Christian Estrosi, the word “moderation” is erased from the dictionary. For him, the foil is a kitchen utensil, the saber for attacking, and the stick for his opponents, works much better.

In Marseille, yesterday afternoon in the presence of all his political supporters and fellow candidates, he gave a first glimpse. The rest will follow, and will undoubtedly be spiced to perfection.

Former First Vice-President from 1992-1998 alongside Jean-Claude Gaudin, the regional house is anything but a stranger to him. He wants to return like a prophet after a long absence.

Moreover, his statement has a vaguely evangelical tone: “I have decided with all my friends here present to commit myself to uplift Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, for it to reconnect with the destiny that is its own and for this territory to finally become synonymous with success. After gathering my political family and forming an alliance with the center, I want to bring together all the inhabitants of this region.”

The ideas are already teeming: “From now until December, the campaign will be intense, and I will put all my energy at the service of the inhabitants of the Region. Between June and the end of September, we will organize the Assises of the Region. I want to bring together all the active forces of the Region (elected officials, unions, economic and associative forces, experts, activists, civil society…) not only via the internet but also during meetings. Round tables whose objective will be to co-construct our project. I want every person who wants to get involved to be able to do so, so that afterward everyone can fully take ownership of our project.”

According to Christian Estrosi, three themes will be priorities: actions in favor of youth, economic development and employment, and transportation (rail and road).

But the words of Christian Estrosi go far beyond a simple list of objectives and take on an ontological tone: “I want us to have a project that brings hope for the inhabitants of this region. A project that allows our region to be the showcase of a successful France.”

The conclusion is remarkable: “You understood it, I want a region that is ambitious, equitable, accessible, and educational! That is how we will succeed in uplifting our PACA.”

The strength of conviction in these words is admirable: if usually, people say “after me, the flood,” for him, it is chronologically the reverse: the flood was before him.

Bravo to the artist, the performance is admirably well played. Now, it remains to convince the voters!

The departmental heads of the UMP-UDI list have been chosen:
