The latest addition, the Union of Democrats and Ecologists (UDE), brings together ecologists who left their former party (EE-LV) after its radical shift and alliances with the Left Front in regional elections and the Democratic Front of Jean-Luc Biennahmias.
“By bringing together the social democrats of the Democratic Front and the reformist ecologists, the UDE is building a new progressive hub in France,” announces Nathallie Audin, appointed as the head of this party in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The new party is part of an alliance with the socialists and other groups supporting Christophe Castaner in the regional elections in PACA.
This is the thrust of Nathalie Audin’s statement: “In the face of the risk of the National Front coming to regional power, the demand for unity is emerging among the left-wing populace. We are already calling on ecologists or ecological sympathizers who prefer progressive ecology over punitive ecology.”
First act of this alliance: Christophe Marolle will be the lead candidate in Bouches-du-Rhรดne.
