Environmental health is in the spotlight for the 12th edition of the Environment Trophies. Registrations are open until March 9th.

Currently, the environment is one of the main sources of concern for researchers, as well as politicians. The forecasts for the coming decades are therefore very worrying. Christian Estrosi is thus committed to finding solutions. The city of Nice is organizing the 12th edition of the Environment Trophies in 2021. This year, the theme focuses on environmental health. โ€œAccording to the World Health Organization, this aspect of health combines the human body and quality of life. Physical, chemical, biological, and even social factors determine good environmental health,โ€ explains Christian Estrosi. For this new edition, registrations have just opened on the website www.nice.fr. They close on March 9th. It is a very important event, as confirmed by the mayor of the city: โ€œEcological transition is everyone’s business, and health is at the heart of our daily lives after a year 2020 marked by the Covid-19 health crisis.โ€

Support and financial assistance for the winners

Created in 2010, the Environment Trophies are an unmissable event in the life of Nice. Everyone can participate, provided they present a solid proposal. The winners will be announced during the European Sustainable Development Week in June. They will receive support from the House of the Environment of the city of Nice, as well as financial aid of up to โ‚ฌ4,000 for the winners of the โ€œHealth and Environmentโ€ category, and โ‚ฌ2,500 for those in the general category. Since the creation of the Environment Trophies, nearly 250 projects have come to life, such as an environmental health rally, traveling exhibitions, or the distribution of ecology boxes for families in precarious situations. A beautiful display of solidarity in these difficult times.
