Voting by proxy
It is also possible to vote by proxy. Voters can follow the online procedure “Maprocuration” through this link www.maprocuration.gouv.fr. However, it will still be necessary to appear in person before the authorized authority. Now, the proxy can be registered on the electoral list of a different town other than Nice. Nevertheless, the proxy will still have to go to the mandator’s polling station in Nice on election days.
A new feature will also be implemented for these upcoming elections. Voters with a certified digital identity will be able to establish their voting proxy without going to a police station. To activate their digital identity, holders of a new format identity card can create an account through the “France identitรฉ” mobile app, and then visit the annex of the City Hall โ Corvรฉsy where an agent will certify the user’s identity by comparing fingerprints on the collection device.
