He succeeds Hervé Morin, elected on November 22, 2017. This is the first time that the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has taken on this position. François Bonneau, President of the Centre-Val de Loire Region, retains his role as Delegated President.
Renaud MUSELIER reminded that “the Regions are not in a political fight against the government. Regions of France wishes for the success of the territories for the success of France, and is engaged in a fight for decentralization.” On this matter, he wants “to engage in a constructive approach, have responsible counterparts, and develop healthy and straightforward relations with the government.”
In this context, the Council of Regions has identified three urgent issues to address in the coming weeks: apprenticeship, economic development, and ecological transition.
