Following the second phase of the easing of lockdown measures starting today, this morning high school students will find their way back to their schools. Not all of them will be there, but certainly a large majority will be present.
The President of the Region, Renaud Muselier, has taken this date as a challenge: “Now, we must organize the reclaiming of all our freedoms.”
He aims to reassure regarding the organization of this return: “Our school transport routes have resumed at their usual times and itineraries to ensure the return of students while respecting health guidelines. Our staff are present in each high school to carry out cleaning tasks and support for teaching teams to best anticipate the return, in coordination with the Education Authority.”
Regarding health safety, the guidelines are prescriptive:
In each school, all on-site teams have received supplies of masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves. Marked pathways have been set up to adhere to hygiene standards, as well as the barriers and distancing measures for movement within the schools. Each high school student will receive a mask that can be washed 35 times.
