Rendezvous Retro: A Day in the Time of the Fabulous Fifties and Sixties

Latest News

This Sunday, March 2nd, the first Retro Rendez-vous took place at the Comptoir Central Electrique in Nice. Initiated by five students sponsored by Lady Flo and the Nรฉo Rรฉtro association, they offered a journey into a 100% retro atmosphere with activities throughout the day and an evening featuring pin-ups and rock ‘n’ roll.

Starting at 11 am, the celebration kicked off with the discovery of the famous Brunch at the Comptoir Central ร‰lectrique, with its delicious homemade all-you-can-eat buffet in a cozy setting.

In the afternoon, Krystie Red Sugar from So Nice pin-up provided a complete and elegant makeover for guests before the start of the photo sessions to immortalize this unique event on the French Riviera.

It was as part of a school project that Anaรฏs Sarrassat, Aurore Boyer, Charlotte Franco, Julie Passaquet, and Christelle Burani, all students in event communication at UIT Sophia Antipolis, took the initiative to set up a project dedicated to the retro theme, with the help of the Neo Rรฉtro association known for creating such events.

The goal is to bring together people who want to experience or relive a “vintage memory” episode much like the time of the Fabulous Fifties and Sixties.

Also, to promote the Comptoir Central Electrique, a place that, for them, aligns well with the retro image, and which from now on will host this extraordinary day once a month.

The big party started at 6 pm with cocktails accompanied by an appetizer buffet. To the sound of the most glamorous DJette Tiny Bin and Gentleman-DJ Virgil from Nice, the girls enlivened the evening in sexy outfits provided by a local shop.

Dancer Harry B from Casino Ruhl and the pin-ups from the Neo Retro school (ArtyStdio) were also present to contribute their part of the show.
