Place Pierre Gautier โ Nice
As the future West-East tramway line has just been officially presented to the people of Nice, as part of the overall transportation plan that aims to integrate all modes of transport within the region by 2030, the Urban Planning and Architecture Forum of the City of Nice invites you to explore the theme of mobility through cinema.
The Urban Planning and Architecture Forum of the City of Nice is therefore presenting, until October 14, 2011, a retrospective of the environmental film days on mobility, designed by the association “Image de ville,” to reflect on the civilization of movement, a guarantor of individual and collective freedom.
A documentary bus, specially equipped with four screening stations, will be set up in the heart of the Urban Planning and Architecture Forum to continuously and freely broadcast 35 films on the theme of mobility. This presents an opportunity to engagingly and playfully raise visitors’ awareness of the issues of soft mobility or green transportation, real alternatives to cars for a more peaceful city and territory.
Until October 14, 2011, these 35 films on mobility will be continuously screened around the following four themes: The History of Transportation, The Transportation of Tomorrow, Manipollution, and Transformed Landscapes.
September 29 and 30, 2011, will be dedicated to the screening of films for “young audiences” aimed at schools.
This retrospective will conclude on October 14, 2011, in the main hall of the Forum, with a screening and debate followed by a cine-concert on the big screen around a silent film that will bring back the magic of great classic films. Detailed program attached.
