For their fifth season in the elite, OGC Nice Handball is experiencing a mixed start to the season.
Wednesday evening, the elimination at Metz in the French Cup round of 16 (22-18) after a month-long break was symbolic. It symbolized a complicated season for the Aiglonnes, even though they managed to maintain their position in Division 1.
After eight league matches, the Aiglonnes are in ninth place in the league (out of eleven) with a record of two wins, one draw, and five losses.
For the resumption of the championship, the Nice team will face Chambray, a direct competitor currently in tenth place. They will then face Besançon and Brest at the end of the month. The Aiglonnes will be hopeful of bouncing back and finishing the season better than they started it.
