Latest News

This weekend saw the prestigious international rhythmic gymnastics competition, the GR VERY Nice, take place.

The fourth edition of the GR VERY NICE, the international rhythmic gymnastics tournament, was held on April 20 and 21, 2024, at the UFR STAPS in Nice. During this renowned event, the public was able to see over 300 gymnasts from all over Europe. Previous editions have been a real success with participation from over 20 different nations.

Throughout this sporting weekend, the rhythmic gymnastics competition welcomed 12 countries, such as Ukraine, Great Britain, France, and Austria. Announced at the beginning of April, the United Arab Emirates were supposed to participate in the competition. Unfortunately, the international team was ultimately unable to attend due to current weather conditions.

The young gymnasts from different countries competed in 25 categories. Accompanied by music and equipped with their “apparatus” such as hoops, ribbons, and balls, the young competitors performed in front of a jury composed of about ten professionals. Amid the loud applause of parents, the gymnasts competed solo or in groups.

This weekend, the Ukrainian gymnasts were numerous and showcased their incredible performances. Positioned as stars in several categories of this discipline, they were awarded 14 first-place finishes out of 25. The GR VERY Nice is a top-level competition that opens opportunities for the most talented. A weekend that dazzled more than one person, unveiling the elegance of the young gymnasts. We commend the performances of the young gymnasts from Nice, especially Lucile Pannequin, representing ASPTT Nice GR, who managed to secure the first place in the Senior category.
