Rica Levy International wins the Best Practices Award (SME/SMI) at the 25th Ceremony of the National Quality and Operational Excellence Awards.

These awards honor companies, institutions, students, and authors of works for their management approaches/analyses, and for quality and operational excellence in the service of performance.

Among the 13 laureates of the 2018 edition is Rica Levy International, a company based in Carros, and a French leader in jeanswear.

Dominique Lanson, company administrator: “This Best Practices Award highlights that it’s possible to be competitive in a very competitive market, while developing a strong CSR policy and supporting progress.”

Born in the south of France in 1928, Rica Levy International is the first French company to produce jeans.

Since 2006, Rica Levy International has been collecting “firsts” and labels: the first pair of jeans made from Fair Trade cotton certified by Max Havelaar, and among 360 French companies to sign the UN Global Compact in 2007. A charter that requires providers to be engaged in a continuous improvement process.

With 1 million jeans sold per year, Rica Levy International is the market leader in jeans in mass retail and the 4th largest French player in volume, across all channels.
