Following the collapse of an embankment on November 24, 2019, on the RM17, near the exit of the village of Gilette, the Metropolis had notably implemented a weight limit of 3.5 tons maximum to secure the site. Vehicles up to 7.5 tons will now be able to safely use this route.
The other security measures implemented since November, particularly the alternating traffic controlled by traffic lights, remain in effect for an indefinite period.
