This exchange echoes all the actions undertaken by both the City of Nice and the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis within the framework of an urban project open to new methods for considering architectural quality in the service of a sustainable city.

On the occasion of its exhibition โ€œBuilding Elsewhere,โ€ which is held until May 31, 2012, the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture will explore our local context on Thursday to investigate a complementary question: โ€œBuilding Differently.โ€

How can architects and city stakeholders reconsider, in an open and innovative way, our usual circuits and modes of thinking and production? How can we approach materials, technologies, and know-how differently to promote a project approach in line with the technical as well as societal debates of our time?

The Forum of Urbanism and Architecture will host until May 31, 2012, the exhibition โ€œBuilding Elsewhere,โ€ produced by Villa Noailles, featuring projects designed by the architects of the Norwegian humanitarian organization TYIN and the young German architect Anna Heringer. This exhibition illustrates the power of a shared mindset on architecture, expertise, and ways of life.
