-“Building Differently”
This exchange echoes all the actions undertaken by both the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis within the framework of an urban project open to new methods for considering architectural quality in the service of a sustainable city.
On the occasion of its exhibition “Building Elsewhere,” which is held until May 31, 2012, the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture will explore our local context on Thursday to investigate a complementary question: “Building Differently.”
How can architects and city stakeholders reconsider, in an open and innovative way, our usual circuits and modes of thinking and production? How can we approach materials, technologies, and know-how differently to promote a project approach in line with the technical as well as societal debates of our time?
The Forum of Urbanism and Architecture will host until May 31, 2012, the exhibition “Building Elsewhere,” produced by Villa Noailles, featuring projects designed by the architects of the Norwegian humanitarian organization TYIN and the young German architect Anna Heringer. This exhibition illustrates the power of a shared mindset on architecture, expertise, and ways of life.
