Since Friday, many roads leading to the Valleys have been impassable. The Metropolis provides an update on the roads accessible again to motorists (under 3.5 tons).
Vésubie Valley (Priority Access for Emergency Vehicles)
- Access to St Jean la Rivière and Utelle via Levens and Duranus (RM19)
- Access to Lantosque via Saint-Roch Pass (RM73)
- Access to La Bollène Vésubie via Turini Pass (RD 2566 / RM70)
- Access to Roquebillière via Turini Pass, then local road to reach RM2565/Roquebillière
- Access to Belvédère via RM 71
- Access to Berthemont via RM 72
- Access to Saint Martin Vésubie via Roquebillière then RM2565, with passage through a track near the entrance of Berthemont (RM 72), only for emergency vehicles (including PL)
- Access to Venanson via the Colmiane track, only for emergency vehicles
- Venanson: RM31 is reopened up to the Vésubie riverbed. Pedestrians can then use a zip line managed by mountain guides to reach St Martin Vésubie.
- RM171 Gordolasque Road closed
- RM94 Madone de Fenestre Road closed
- RM89 Boréon Road closed at the intersection with RM2565
- RM 2565 is closed in both directions at the Durandy roundabout (collapses at PR 0+900 and at PR12-Le Suquet).
- RM2565 also closed north of St Jean la Rivière for an indefinite period
Tinée Valley
- RM 2565 Valdeblore/La Colmiane: open between the intersection with RM2205 and the intersection with RM89 (Vésubie riverbed)
- Access to Tournefort (RM26) from RM2205
- Access to La Tour sur Tinée from RM2205
- RM32 closed between La Tour (after the retirement home) and Utelle for an indefinite period.
- Access to Bairols (RM 56) open
- Access to Marie (RM 58) open
- RM 97 access to Isola 2000 possible on half-lane
Middle Region
- RM 6202 is reopened and set to two-way traffic between the Tinée station and RM2205 (Access possible up to Malaussène station in the Var Valley)
- RM 6102 open North/South direction (1 lane) between Tinée Station and Baus Roux
- RM 17 open GILETTE towards ROQUESTERON
Coastline
- RM6202bis fully open in both directions of traffic.
- RM 95 Maïcon passage reopened on 6/10
- RM 99 (Nice), access to the airport is closed in both directions. Reopening expected by the end of the week.
However, motorists are reminded to be extremely cautious on these still damaged roads. The speed limit is reduced to 50 km/h.
