For the Aviron niรงois, the year ends beautifully with this new record: the milestone of 140 rowers during the weekend of December 3rd and 4th has been surpassed! The rowers of this 18th Baie des Anges tour represent 20 clubs from France, Belgium, and Italy.
After the Olympic Games final in Rio, after the silver at the French championships in Menton, after the gold at the world championships in Monaco, this time it’s a record number of participants at the Club Nautique de Nice, the event’s organizer.
This Saturday at 10 a.m., participants will row along the Promenade des Anglais, heading towards the airport.
The afternoon will be devoted to a walk around Nice, either on foot or โ for the first time โ on a Segway, before the traditional evening banquet at the club. Sunday morning will allow them to discover the coast around Villefranche, Cap Ferrat, and Beaulieu.
The CNN is quite proud of the growing success of this tour: the rowers are unanimous, all are drawn by the pleasure of rowing at sea, the attractions of the region, and also the quality of the hospitality and organization.
Another first this year, the club will film the tour from the air.
