Rudy Salles, Deputy Delegate for Tourism, was elected Vice-President of France Congrès during the general assembly of France Congrès, which took place yesterday as part of the Study Days of France Congrès, the association of mayors of congress cities.
These Study Days are a key event that allows elected representatives from the 54 member cities to meet and discuss the main issues impacting and/or guiding the development of the activity (national impacts evaluated at €7.5 billion). On the agenda this year: investment in a context of reduced subsidies, the synergy between hosting and organizing congresses with economic development, development challenges with regard to the growing importance of digital technology…
For Rudy Salles, “this election is recognition for all the work done by the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis over the past 6 years. This synergy and these efforts have allowed Nice to become the number one destination for congresses after Paris. An effective events policy, the renovation of the Congress Palace, and new structuring projects are positive signs of a tremendous will to advance and make Nice a European capital for congresses.”
Created in 1965, France Congrès today brings together 54 city destinations represented by elected officials and professionals. Its main missions include informing congress organizers about the product and service offers best suited to their needs, improving market knowledge through congresses, symposiums or conventions, and conducting studies and statistical surveys
