The French team won their second match of the tournament, not without difficulty, against a confident Scottish team.
After a Scottish start full of rhythm and determination, but without much benefit on the scoreboard, the French gradually took control of the game thanks to the dominance of their pack of forwards, particularly in the scrum and during the ruck phases.
Their power eventually triumphed over speed and flair, even though our players seemed physically worn out by their opponents’ energy expenditure. By focusing on solid defense and being realistic during their strong moments, they preserved the essentials.
This victory allows us to stay in the race for the grand slam, hoping that the work done in the coming weeks will enable our team to step up their game to compete on equal terms with their upcoming opponents.
