The Stade Niçois continues its erratic journey by falling during an away game in Dax, an opponent that does not suit them well. Last season, the team from Nice had already been defeated on the field of the red and whites.
Ranked tenth before kickoff, the Dacquois got the better of Stade Niçois.
Trailing at halftime 11-6 (1 try and two penalties for the Dacquois, two penalties for Nice), the team from the French Riviera failed to turn the match around in the second half, allowing their opponents to increase the lead with two more penalties and a second try.
They have been relegated to seventh place in the standings following Suresnes’ victory in Dijon.
This defeat does not compromise Stade Niçois’s qualification chances but makes the upcoming reception of Chambéry next Saturday at Arboras delicate.
Another defeat could begin to cast doubts on the team’s value and would force them to see the glass as half empty.
