Rugby: the Nice team stays on course and returns undefeated (13-13) from Châteaurenard.

While behind the scenes, the life of the club is highly tumultuous, on the field it shows that Nice rugby is not dead at all. A draw in the first match and a draw in the return match between Nice and Châteaurenard, two teams that ultimately struggle to outdo each other!

rnca_np-9.jpg The away game at Châteaurenard, a team that uses valiance as its favorite weapon, ended in a draw (13-13) which left more regrets than satisfactions.

Indeed, because despite rainy weather and a heavy field that caused numerous handling errors, the Azureans played a good match, especially a good first half with a try by Tadjini converted by Adrien Malavard. This same Malavard added a penalty to seal a score of 10-0.

The locals’ comeback after the break, fatigue, and… a few too many errors made the draw a rather fair result (13-13), including another successful kick by Malavard for three additional points, and ultimately satisfying for a team whose players certainly lack the necessary serenity and, understandably, have their minds sometimes elsewhere.

But once again, we can only commend the exemplary behavior of the players who on the field demonstrate seriousness and dedication, deserving the honors of Nice’s passionate rugby fans.
