End of the season for Stade Niçois after the 34-12 defeat in the second leg of the quarterfinal against Tarbes.
Entering the field with a 10-point lead, the Niçois knew they had to defend themselves in a relentless battle against a vengeful Tarbes team in their white-hot home of Maurice Trelut.
It didn’t last long: quickly trailing, the Azuréens ended the first half with a score of 25-0 (3 tries).
The second half was more balanced, but the Tarbes team controlled the match despite a resurgence from the Niçois (two tries) to finish 34-12, securing their spot in the semifinals.
For the Niçois players, the holidays will start tomorrow. After a long and exhausting season, they are well deserved.
