For its 6th edition, the Russian cinema festival is taking place in Nice from December 4th to 8th. On the program, there are screenings of classic films and new releases with the presence of actors and directors.
“We have always felt the support of the city of Nice,” begins Alexandre Medvedev, first deputy to the general director of Gosfilmofond. Indeed, in the case of relations between Russia and Nice, one can speak of a true cultural cooperation with numerous exchanges and events.
The festival, which spans 5 days, gathers a number of feature films presented at the cinémathèque of Nice. Several classics will be screened, as well as more recent films like “Mathilde” by Alexei Uchitel for the opening ceremony.
“Russian culture is much closer to French culture than one might think,” also stated Robert Roux, deputy mayor of Nice for cinema.
It should be noted that entry to the festival is free.
