The Alpes Maritimes departmental committee of the French Mountain Climbing Federation is organizing the cleaning of the St Auban canyon (O6).
This year, two actions will be carried out:
- Cleaning the parking areas and access points,
- More technical cleaning of the iron bars at the entrance of the canyon (remnants of the pavement…).
The first action is open to all participants and will take place starting at 9 AM, concluding with a banquet offered by the departmental committee, the town hall, the CC Monts d’azur, and local merchants.
In the afternoon, free introductory sessions (limited availability) will be offered and supervised by professionals in the field.
Following this public cleaning, a river cleaning program will be undertaken by professionals to remove the remnants of the department road collapse (several tons of iron and concrete).
