Regarding St. Jean, the fair, performances, aubade, and music from the groups Lou Caireu Niçart and Rauba Capeu will make this event a festive occasion not to be missed, contributing to the continuation of a tradition celebrated all over Europe since “the dawn of time.”
For St. Peter, and as tradition dictates, the elected officials and fishermen of the City of Nice will organize, as they do every year, the traditional celebration of their patron saint. After a religious ceremony and a procession, a boat will be burned, in accordance with the custom where all the fishermen contributed to the purchase of a new boat for the poorest among them.
On Saturday, June 28th, the choir of the Ciamada Nissarda will animate this event, from the procession of the Saint Peter statue to the burning of the boat, followed by the group Lou Magou d’en Casteu.
