The seafront of Saint-Laurent-du-Var has been completely transformed between Landsberg Beach and Cousteau Beach.
On Wednesday, June 1st, the new look of the Saint-Laurent-du-Var coastline was unveiled.
It is thanks to the help of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis that these developments were able to be carried out. Now, Landsberg and Cousteau beaches are traversed by a shaded and landscaped promenade of more than 2100 square meters.
This public space redevelopment project involved the positioning and beautification of these areas to create a link between the Cap 3000 shopping center, the Var banks, and the beaches.
After praising the quality of the work carried out, the mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Joseph Segura, said he was very happy with this development, which marks “an important moment for the town.” He also warmly thanked Christian Estrosi for the help provided by the metropolis in carrying out this project.
“Thank you to Christian Estrosi for having supported us in this project. Since 2014, the metropolis has played a crucial role in embellishing Saint-Laurent.”
The mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var first, and then Christian Estrosi, reflected on the purpose of this transformation:
“You go to Cap 3000, park in the parking lot and can come here to stroll and swim on this beautiful beach. This is life in Saint-Laurent-du-Var!”
“This pleasant place enhances the beauty of this landscape and its tourist appeal… It also reflects our desire to include this coastline in an ecological transition.”
Beyond the elected officials and the regulars of Cap 3000, the residents of Saint-Laurent-du-Var also seem pleased with the new look of their coastline.
Josette, 71 years old: “Building a charming place near Cap 3000 and so close to the beach was already a very good idea. Now that we see the result, we can say it: it’s a success!”
Jean-François, 52 years old: “When I heard about the work, I had some doubts, but today I think it adds something extra to our beaches.”
