Saint-Paul-de-Vence: Exhibition of the Circle of Artists

Latest News

The Old Forge hosts “Habemus corpus, accords à corps,” the second themed exhibition of the year, organized by the Circle of Artists of Saint Paul.

The common object among the 15 visual artists of the Circle is the articulated wooden mannequin, a model of the human body for aspiring draftsmen.

The puppet with geometric proportions mutates and evolves in multiple settings: absorbed by light, blended into a suggestive silhouette, deconstructed in a Picasso-like manner, wandering in a labyrinth, or even as a metaphor for the breath of life, as an Icarus who doesn’t take off, a serial shopper, or a dreamlike agitator from Magritte’s world…

Idealistic, realistic, intimate, social, and playful perspectives of 15 body-decor, mini-installations, or sculptures, to discover and to offer.
