Saint Roc / Saint Roch returns to the Independent Carnival of Nissa / 27th Independent Carnival of Nissa

Latest News

The meeting is at noon, Place Saint Roch! After 7 years of exile, it’s back to the base for an afternoon of carnival like you’ve never seen, true to the motto: Free, Independent, and Free of Charge.

On the agenda:

at 12 pm shared meal at Place Sant Rรฒc, at 2 pm parade with the following route: Place St Roch, St Roch alley, Fornero Mรฉnei street, Denis Sรฉmรฉria avenue, Roquebilliรจre street, Dr. Fighiera street, Mgr Daumas street, Place St Roch.

Cristou Daurore, the friendly president of the Republic of Nissa, gives us the pragmatic explanation:

โ€œWe will have 2 floats: 1 small one representing Jean-Marc Eusรฉbi (1962-2006) press cartoonist and image maker of King Carnival, he will wear on his head his comic character: Cougourdoun (created by himself). One platform: representing the team of Rร dio Nissa Pantai, which brings this web radio to life in Niรงard 24 hours a day. We expect impromptu or surprise musical formations … and certainly some clouds of flour.โ€

The theme? Dress up, make your float, bring your music…… and create your carnival!!!

The tribes: Grouping of several people who have chosen a costume theme. With family or friends, the costumes are sometimes very surprising.

The floats: Made of odds and ends, they use a shopping cart or an old stroller…

The groups: No carnival is complete without music, and for that, impromptu bands or otherwise ensure the musical entertainment of the parade.

The Falabracs: These are the other participants of the parade, all dressed up with whateverโ€™s available and of all ages.
