The new Jazz season is off to a flying start! Olodum Musique presents the Sézamo, the must-visit Jazz Club in Nice, completely revamped in a warm and friendly 1960s cabaret style. With a capacity of nearly two hundred people, the Sézamo now announces prestigious evenings thanks to the new programming and the overflowing energy of the association. Proudly displayed is a range of both talented and experienced local artists, standing out on the Nice Jazz scene. The Sézamo’s Jazz nights also blend with Soul, Funk, World, Swing, Manouche, Gospel, Blues, Latino, enticing an ever-growing, eclectic audience.

The Olodum Musique association successfully realizes the unique project of a Jazz Club in Nice and hosts local artists weekly. Each concert is an unforgettable discovery, a musical exploration around Jazz. Every Friday and Saturday, find talented artists for quality Jazz evenings. On Sundays, Sézamo hosts Jam Sessions preceded by a Jazz Trio. Every Thursday, find concerts of Latin music (Brazilian or Cuban). Every Tuesday, find Salsa classes followed by a concert. Sézamo also invites the singer Brigitte Dumas every Monday at 7 pm for a Gospel course.

Thursday 13 – Littoral (Funk, Latino, and multiple influences…)
This festive group consists of 6 musicians with eclectic influences. They have one idea in mind: to make you dance! Find the passion of guitarist François TALLARIDA, the funk of saxophonist André MICOULIN, the groove of bassist Franck GUERIN, the soul voice of Arnaud MICOULIN (Vocals/percussion), the energy of drummer Samuel BOULADE, the Reggae R&B of singer Eric GUERIN… Exchanges and complicity guaranteed! Entry 8€
Friday 14 – Sergei Lapkovsky Quintet (Jazz)
A pianist with precision and virtuoso sensitivity, Sergei Lapkovsky presents his new formation. Composed of Linus Olsson on guitar, Nicolas Lucci on bass, Géroome Achat on drums, this quintet will be carried by the sensual voice of Isa, a singer from Madagascar. They will perform great Jazz standards rearranged à la Lapkovsky, with stunning harmonies. They will also play their own instrumental compositions, making this electro-acoustic concert a delicate and subtle moment. Entry 10€
Saturday 15 – Les Dino Farfisa (Rock n’ roll 60’s)
Velvet jackets, cigarette pants, and pointy shoes for the boys… Bangs, psychedelic dresses, and white boots for the girls… Get the Aronde out of the garage or hop on your vintage scooter to rush to Sezamo to see Dino Farfisa! A perfect cocktail: 1/3 garage punk, 1/3 rhythm’n’blues, 1/3 wild freakbeat. Unstoppable songs selected masterfully, brimming with garage compilations, vintage original albums, and rare 45s, all strictly between 1964 and 1967. Entry 10€.
Sunday 16 – Bud’s Bubble Quintet + Jam Session (Jazz 50’s 60’s)
The charismatic singer Tomas Giloy, a crooner from the local scenes, comes to Sézamo with his Jazz 50’s 60’s Quintet inspired by Frank Sinatra to Harry Coninger. He will be accompanied by Jean-Michel Thiemonge on piano (keyboard of Kinguba Gnawa), Michel Fromenti on bass and double bass, Eric Brunau on drums, and Cédric Lauer on trumpet. The evening will end with a Jam Session featuring many artists who regularly make their appearance on stage like Scott Allen, Ronnie Rae, and many others. Entry 5€.
Tuesday 18 – “Festival Salsa Explosiva” (Salsa class + live concert)
Every Tuesday, find Salsa classes from 8 pm to 9 pm for beginners and from 9 pm to 10 pm for intermediates and advanced, followed by an evening with a salsa DJ who will make you dance to the frenzied rhythms and melodies coming straight from Latin America and Africa… Entry 10€

Friday 21 – Joy Trio (Vocal Jazz)
Serge Ferrero, Philippe Villa, and Gérard Juan form Joy Trio. They perform their own compositions and songs from the French and American jazz repertoire. Recently joined by Virginie Behem, whose soul and rhythm’n’blues influences blend perfectly with the trio’s instrumental colors. A journey into the jazzy universe of the 60s. Entry 10€
Saturday 22 – Barrio Cuba (Salsa, Cha-cha, Rumba…)
Barrio Cuba comprises five musicians with occasionally an additional brass section and two sultry Cuban dancers. They play both traditional Salsa and Timba, passing through Reggaeton and various Latin rhythms. The group is led by the captivating voice of singer Marcela Vallejos, the rumbling bass of Alain Deshayes, the exotic timbaleros of William Lugones, the engaging conguero of Alan Gonzales, and the subtle play of pianist Filippe Mozas. Entry 10€
Sunday 23 – Blue Genes + Jam Session (Blues & Rock n Roll)
In the first part of the evening, find Blue Genes for a Blues Rock’n Roll concert, followed at 10:30 pm by a Jam Session hosted by Cédric Lauer. Becoming increasingly present in various local formations, he imposes himself with his overflowing energy and generosity. The Sundays at Sézamo also welcome many artists who regularly rush on stage such as Scott Allen, Ronnie Rae, Sébastien Chaumont, Fato Koma Traore, and many more. Entry 5€.
Friday 28 – N’GOI (Nadia and Amaury Quartet) (Vocal Jazz)
Nadia Scaillet, the lead singer of Nadiamori, affirms her South African roots through this quartet. Inspired by her Zairean mother’s family name, N’Goi pays tribute to her origins. This new vocal jazz formation relies on compositions written by Nadia herself. She is supported by seasoned guitarist Amaury Filliard and the compelling swing of double bassist (sometimes Christian Pachuaidi, sometimes Pascal Mason). An elegant concert, full of jazzy subtlety and emotion. Entry 10€.
Saturday 29 – De la Tune (Funk)
De La Tune will come to Sezamo for the first time to set the dance floor on fire with its powerful funk sounds and irresistible energy. A delirious and ironic group that imposes a smile from ear to ear from the beginning to the end of the evening. Entry 10€.
Monday 31 – New Year’s Eve at Sézamo – Dinner show and buffet with Littoral
From 9 pm to 11:30 pm Entry 65€ Reservation required at 06 60 32 79 54. The evening will begin at 9 pm with a welcome aperitif and all-you-can-eat buffet (including wine and a glass of champagne will be offered). Many animations and surprises will follow throughout the evening in a crazy wedding atmosphere (costumes and decorations as if we were there). From 11:30 pm, the Littoral orchestra will be followed by a Jam Session that will accompany you until the morning with a breakfast treat! Entry 15€ after 11:30 pm and buffet closure.

Saturday 19 – Frédéric Viale Quartet (Jazz)
Frédéric Viale offers his compositions with multiple colors and influences: jazz mingling with waltz, java, tango, and Brazilian music. This eclectic musician exudes great generosity on stage. His music is festive, popular, serious, and human. He forms an entity with his musicians, a group in the true sense of the word where everyone can communicate at will. Frédéric Viale: accordion, Thierry Galliano: guitar, Serge Ferrero: double bass, Jean-Luc Dana: drums, Jean-Marc Maudet: percussion. Entry 10€.
