The national diploma of brevet (DNB) is a diploma that certifies the knowledge acquired at the end of middle school. It does not determine access to a higher class at the end of ninth grade.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, 12,768 candidates took the June 2015 session of the DNB, which is 87 more candidates compared to the previous session. The success rate is 86%, an increase of 0.7 points (85.3% in 2014). A total of 10,982 young people obtained their diploma, which is 165 more admitted than last year.
The results for the general series (11,782 candidates) saw a slight increase of 0.8 points, with a success rate of 87.6% (86.8% in 2014).
The results for the professional series (986 candidates) decreased by 2 points, with a success rate of 67.3% (69.4% in 2014).
