Wednesday, October 19 โ 6:30 PM โ Bar des Oiseaux
The Bar of Science and Citizens: becoming aware of our actions.
What is the climate? Will it change in the future, a little or a lot? Is it certain? How do climatologists study it? Do all climatologists agree on the causes and on the future scenarios? What do they do in their laboratories? Can they say with certainty that the climate of the Cรดte d’Azur will change? If so, is it the fault of humans, the sun, or something else?
To answer our questions and help us understand the phenomena and controversies, the following experts will be present:
- Pierre Carrega, professor of physical geography, specializing in climatology and climate risks (University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis), climate expert of the Cรดte d’Azur, and president of the “climate and society” commission of the French National Committee for Geography.
-
Eric Fossat, astronomer and sun specialist (Observatory of the Cรดte d’Azur)
-
Pierre-Charles Maria, professor of chemistry, expert in environment and sustainable development, Vice-President of University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis
The Bar of Science and Citizens: creator of debates.
Small, medium, and large, young and old, experts, curious or passionate individuals are invited to engage in dialogue over a drink, for the duration of an evening. We talk about science in motion with scientists, experts, artistsโฆ Everyone can bring their experiences and ideas, all questions are welcome!
The evenings at the Bar of Science and Citizens in Nice are free, only the drinks are payable. For those with a refined palate, it is also possible to stay and dine with the speakers and organizers, scientists from the SFP, OCA, and LPMC*, who will be happy to extend the debates at the table, after 8:30 PM.
