jpg_affiche_150_web.jpg As part of the 2010 Science Festival, a large section of the scientific community of Sophia Antipolis invites young people, adults, and families to share two festive days with them at the Garbejaire site, at the “Bermond Farm,” and at the Valbonne Sophia Antipolis community media library.

On the agenda for these two days:

  • A village of tents hosting scientific stands: Computing, astronomy, robotics, agronomy, sustainable development, aeronautics, biodiversity, science careers, โ€ฆ
  • Laboratory tours: free shuttle departure from the village (Saturday only)
  • Treasure hunt. Come and win many prizes by playing a treasure trail game linking all the stands to help you discover the hidden treasure with cluesโ€ฆ
  • Scientific picnic: everyone can bring their own snack to share with music and friends!
  • Grand free concert. Four bands of musicians, all scientists: discover them in a different light!

Come in large numbers to share in this great entirely free celebration!!!!

For the launch of this first edition of the “Sophia Antipolis Science Weekend,” an aperitif is offered by the Municipality of Valbonne,
on Saturday 23/10 at 12:30 p.m., in the presence of the elected officials,
and will be preceded by a guided tour through the stands.

This event is coordinated by PERSAN, the Sophia Antipolis Nice Education and Research Hub, in partnership with the city of Valbonne, and supported by CASA, the PACA Regional Council, and the Regional Delegation for Research and Technology.
