This Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Pierre d’Arène School, Scolaweb will be presented on the occasion of the Press and Media Week in the School © in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and Lauriano Azinheirinha, Deputy for Education and Youth.
SCOLAWEB is a real communication platform between the various actors in the field of education. This year, 18 schools have their own site, which students, their teachers, and the educational teams of the institutions regularly update.
The Saint Pierre d’Arène school was the first to use this educational tool launched by the city of Nice.
SCOLAWEB is an interactive school web journal allowing a school or a school group to publish all its news and information through editorial articles, photo galleries, video reports, or downloadable files. This interactive and evolving platform is, after training, totally under the control of the school’s administration and its teachers. They manage it using a simple computer connected to the Internet or from a smartphone connected to the web.
Finally, not to be outdone on the technological side, each Scolaweb is delivered with its mobile site viewable on phones and smartphones connected to the internet.
Press and Media Week in the School © in Nice
Over the years, the Press and Media Week in the School® has become the largest media education event organized in Europe. Its aim is to foster the meeting between the world of education and that of the media.
The Press and Media Week in the School® takes place locally over a fortnight (until March 30). The event is organized in many schools in the Nice Academy by the Clemi of the Rectorate led by Lilia Parisot, research engineer under the aegis of Madame the Rector Claire Lovisi.
Students have the opportunity to discover the diversity and pluralism of information media (print media, radio, television, press agency, Internet site). This develops a better understanding of the world around them and their critical sense regarding information.
