Until December 31, 2011, a call for screenwriting projects is open for the Nice Screenplay Contest. In association with the 11th edition of the Nice Short Film Festival, the competition “Port de Nice” is launched by the festival “Un festival c’est trop court,” the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and France 3 Côte d’Azur.
The purpose of this screenwriting competition is to discover a writer and provide them with artistic and technical support to create a short fiction film in the port district of Nice.
The screenwriter/director will be selected by a jury comprised of one member from each partner organization (a member from “Un festival c’est trop court,” the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the CCI Ports Directorate, France 3 Côte d’Azur, and an independent professional). They will be supported in the production of their film by the festival team and the partner France 3 Côte d’Azur, which will provide assistance during filming and postproduction.
The film’s first public screening will take place during the 12th edition of “Un festival c’est trop court” in October 2012.
