As part of the 3rd edition of the National Competition for the Best Traditional French Baguette, the Federation of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of the Alpes-Maritimes organized the Best Baguette Trophy of the Alpes-Maritimes, which took place during the AGECOTEL Show in Nice.
The winner of the 2016 Competition is from Nice: Sébastien Blanc, artisan baker from “Boulangerie Blanc,” 342 Route de Grenoble in NICE. Forty-six candidates (artisan bakers and employees) participated in this departmental selection.
Along with the runner-up of this departmental competition (Stéphane Lapalme, from the “Le Pain d’Olivier” Bakery in Mougins), they will participate in the regional selection organized by the Regional Federation of Bakery and Pastry Baking PACA-Corse on April 21st and 22nd in Gardanne.
The winner of this regional selection will represent the PACA-Corse region in the National Final from May 22nd to 25th, 2016, during the Bread Festival on the Forecourt of Notre Dame Church.
