A living creature, ascending and descending, nourished and then digested, the day starts with the morning (Land of Eyelid), quickly becomes midmorning (Land of Half-Past Ten), then noon (Land of Sunsun), closely followed by the afternoon (Perfect Land), then comes the evening (Land of Children of the Clocks), and finally the night (Diving Board Land).
Six stations for our imaginations. Our eyes actually have six eyelids, and it is appropriate to lift each one for the daily journey through the sky. It is in fact the journey of time. How it travels, how it grows, how it ages, through its successive transformations.
In a complex, violent world where money is king, we have chosen the poetry, the fantasy, and the humor of Jean Cagnard. The time of the day is precious with the world accelerating. You get up in the morning, and everything is yet to be accomplished. “You must create your day every day, make it liveable and lively.”
