After a few hours on the bus that took them from Nice to the Southwest, the young people from Nice quickly adjusted to the competition by winning their first two matches against Beaumont (8-2) and then against Bellefontaine (2-0) before easing off, having already secured their qualification against Honfleur (4-2).
The time for the semi-final had thus come against Beaucaire, which, inevitably, had made the journey by bus with the young azuréens. A hard-fought match with a narrow score but a victory (5-2) and a place in the final for Mrs. Dutay’s protégés.
