Would you like to dance? The old custom, previously abandoned with the advent of modern music that favors individualism, is regaining its place with the Seniors’ Balls organized by the General Council, catering to a generation that hasn’t forgotten good (and courteous) manners!
Launched in November 2012, these balls have brought together nearly 2,500 seniors from over 70 communes in the department. These moments of conviviality and warmth also serve as opportunities for sharing and friendship, helping to break the solitude.
While the Palais Sarde remains the favorite venue, soon to be joined by the Palais of Agriculture, in response to rising demand and to benefit residents of the middle and high country, the balls will be relocated (for once, the term has no negative connotation) to other communities.
A total of 12,000 spots will be offered: Madam, would you like to dance?
