Organized by Nice-Acropolis in partnership with the Departmental Union of Communal Centers for Social Action of the Alpes-Maritimes, the General Council of A.M. and the City of Nice, these two days (November 24 and 25, 2006) will offer at the Palais des Expositions to the approximately 10,000 expected visitors:
A thematic exhibition:
– finance, law, savings (securing and transmission of heritage)
– tourism (organized trips, cruises)
– multimedia (introduction to new technologies)
– leisure (gardening, shopping)
– real estate
– health and fitness
Spaces will naturally be dedicated to retirement homes, the associative network as well as the medical-social environment.
10 conferences in 2 days:
– Eric Donfu, sociologist, President of the DRS Cabinet, Dialogues and Social Relations will offer, on the 24th at 10 AM, a reflection on: “Mamy-boom, Papy-boom: seniors as pivots of contemporary society?”
– André Marro, doctor from the National Museum of Natural History in Paris will deliver his analysis on “Aging, dying, so what!” on November 25 at 10 AM
With the support of AGIRC-ARRCO social assistance, there will be an intervention every day at 11 AM on the following subjects:
– the general organization of retirement in France for private sector employees
– the proximity of our social action, the role of local partnerships
Doctors will impart their knowledge:
– On November 24, at 2 PM Prof. Brocker will speak on the topic “nutrition and aging successfully”.
– November 25 will be devoted to the “Regional Conference of the Elderly” with 3 conferences starting at 2 PM: “How to live better in mind and body” by Denis Clair, “the paths of fragility” by Prof. Balas, and “the place of the body in aging well” by Dr. Pras.
The Associations’ Relay will speak on material and psychological aspects:
– On the 24th from 4 PM to 5 PM: financing and heritage
– balancing one’s budget for a worry-free end of life
– transferring heritage and inheritance according to new laws
– On the 25th from 4 PM to 5 PM: self-recognition or how to regain self-confidence after 50:
– a psychologist will talk about the personal difficulties of finding an activity at 50 and the ensuing doubts
– a representative from the A.N.I.M association (assistance for new initiatives and management) will propose to provide means for better self-knowledge, to achieve new well-being, and thereby reintegrate into society.
– a psychotherapist will address the method to better manage emotions and give everyone the capacity to be in harmony with oneself (gestalt therapy)
An animation center
Relaxation and pleasure will also be on the agenda through a wide range of creative discoveries offered by the animation service of the CCAS of the City of Nice:
– a floral art presentation on November 24 from 2 PM to 6 PM with bouquet demonstrations,
– a patchwork workshop exhibition on the 25th from 9:30 AM to 12 PM,
– followed by a bookbinding workshop exhibition on the 25th from 2 PM to 6 PM and many other equally attractive surprises such as a raffle offering theater tickets, gift vouchers, tasting baskets, gastronomic dinners…
A dance tea will conclude on a cheerful note this dynamic fair, on the 25th starting at 4:30 PM.
