The wide range of offerings in the “Seniors in Action” program is enriched with a new option: Pétanque! “A noble and friendly activity, a combination of skill and tactical intelligence” (we didn’t know it before but are happy to learn!), pétanque is a tradition of Mediterranean lands.
A triples tournament will allow all enthusiasts (as long as they are over 55) to participate: the grand finale will take place as a prelude to the Europetanque 2016, on next July 22nd, at the Esplanade Delattre de Tassigny (in front of the Exhibition Palace).
This is an addition to other activities already on the program such as dance, theater, cinema, hiking, travel, and other visits.
The 325,000 seniors residing in the department couldn’t be better served.
All these cultural, sports, and recreational activities aim to offer everyone who wishes to enjoy them wonderful experiences and beautiful moments in this part of their life, which should not be synonymous with giving up.
