The “Fourres de Rire” are part of the actions that Sian d’Aqui hopes will be foundational, so that all generations rediscover the strong cultural and identity heritage that has always characterized the County of Nice.
The “Fourres de Rire” hope to meet three main ambitions:
- To allow people from Nice to see or see again on stage famous local artists or those on their way to fame;
- To offer a chance to new local comedy talents to make themselves known to a wider audience (mission accomplished in 2004 with the success of Vincent TRUPIANO, or in 2005 with Philippe MARCHAND who this year is headlining);

To encourage and inspire the creation of original works stamped “County of Nice”.
A successful bet: The “Fourres de Rire” aimed to establish themselves for the long term and to propose an annual gathering of humor from our County: this has been achieved!
Since last year the Sian d’Aqui association has chosen to reserve an evening for an “invited region” in order to introduce the Nice public to talent from elsewhere. In 2005, Provence was the first guest, this year it will be Corsica’s turn.
