Under the impetus of the city of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community, and in partnership with the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts 06, private operators, and seven social landlords, an agreement for the commercialization of ground floor premises will be signed on Monday, September 19, 2011.
The goal of this cooperation is to (re)energize commercial activity in so-called “sensitive” neighborhoods and/or those undergoing renovation: les Moulins, Pasteur, l’Ariane, Notre-Dame/ City Center.
This cooperative initiative will enable:
- The local authorities (City of Nice, NCA) to continue making their territory more attractive as it undergoes redevelopment and to support the urban and social revitalization of these neighborhoods by promoting their economic development;
- Social landlords to commercialize their ground floor premises;
- The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the CMA 06, and the merchants to continue meeting the needs of the population and prevent the disappearance of local shops and artisans.
As part of this agreement, which is valid for one year and is automatically renewable, the partners commit to pooling their skills:
- For the City of Nice and NCA: to provide other partners with information on the overall development policy conducted in the relevant areas;
- For social landlords: to inform partners of any construction project so that the planning and rental of commercial spaces can be studied as early and effectively as possible;
- For the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the CMA 06: to provide their economic and commercial analysis, and to encourage merchants, artisans, national brands, and investors to seize installation opportunities.
At this conference, to highlight the interest of this cooperation, Eric Fuchs, CEO of Axa South-East, and Fernand Blanchi, President of SEM Habitat 06, will be present. They have jointly agreed on the upcoming installation of an automatic bank service at the ground floor of Building D in the les Moulins neighborhood, covering an area of nearly 100 square meters.
