This evening at 6 PM at the Main Town Hall, Christian Estrosi and George-François Leclerc will sign the new municipal coordination agreement between the National Police and the Municipal Police of Nice tomorrow, Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Main Town Hall, in the presence of Jean-Michel Prêtre, for the period 2017-2020.
In light of the current events related to terrorism and various changes at the state level, it was necessary to update the previous agreement which dated back to 2013.
Complementary to the partnership work conducted within the framework of the Local Security and Crime Prevention Contract, which will help define a new territorial strategy and new priorities, this new Municipal Police – National Police Coordination Agreement will help structure the on-the-ground activities of both police forces.
The 2017-2020 agreement will specify the nature and locations of the interventions of the Municipal Police officers and determine the modalities by which these interventions will be coordinated with the state security forces.
