As part of this partnership, the Miranda Company will lead an educational workshop aimed at preventing violence or addictions for a middle school in the department each academic year. Meanwhile, the Cité Theater will offer theatrical works that are accessible to middle school students throughout the year.
The mission of the Cité Theater is to make theater a dynamic force in the region. A total of 150 performances are planned. The theater will host nearly 84 companies to allow more than 720 middle school students to attend the dress rehearsal of a creation by a company in residence, which will be complemented by an educational workshop.
The Miranda Company, for its part, has carried out specific actions aimed at middle school students, such as civic activities and skits crafted with the students to develop the concept of respect.
The company also supports the activities of the CDJ (Departmental Youth Council) in conducting campaigns against violence, disability, respect, and road safety.
