The Prefecture has reported on the number of fatal road accidents, stating that two-wheeled vehicle drivers are the most affected: nearly 58% of those killed.
Furthermore, the situation is worsening: in 2014, they accounted for 43% of the deaths on the road.
The prefecture reminds that two-wheeled vehicle drivers are vulnerable road users who must take all essential precautions for their safety: ensuring that the vehicle they are about to overtake has seen them, wearing a helmet and gloves, adjusting speed to the traffic, and respecting safety distances.
Similarly, car drivers must remain vigilant so that road sharing can occur under optimal safety conditions.
Indeed, accidents all have a common denominator: driver behavior (use of mobile phones, excessive speed, lack of vehicle control, failure to respect safety distances, alcohol).
