On March 1, 2024, SLO Hostels opened the doors of its third establishment in France, located in the heart of Nice.
This new hostel, nestled in a magnificent building with an Art-Deco façade, perfectly reflects the concept of the SLO group, which aims to reinvent the codes of youth hostels and promote ‘slow travel’, a way of traveling that is gentle, friendly, and conscious.
Designed with a travel theme and Mediterranean decor, it offers 19 rooms, with a total of 81 beds. The rooms are divided into 10 shared rooms accommodating from 4 to 10 people, 8 double rooms, and one family room that can accommodate up to 3 people.

SLO Hostels, the history
Founded in 2014 by Julien Routil, Pierric Soum, and Charlotte Bollard, SLO Hostels opened its first establishment in Lyon Saxe. The concept: a new way of traveling, more responsible, closer, and more human. Following the success of the first hostel, SLO opened a second location in Lyon Les Pentes in 2016 and a festive cocktail bar, Groom, in 2017.
In 2024, SLO inaugurates its third hostel in Nice. SLO Hostels is also committed to a process of Clef Verte certification, with the two Lyon hostels already having obtained this label and the Nice location being in the certification phase in spring 2024. These initiatives allow SLO to save more than 80% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to a traditional hotel offering.
SLO Nice is located at 20 Rue de Paris, 06000 Nice. More information is available on the site www.slohostels.com
