The INTERFLEX Smart Grid project, led by Enedis and supported by the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, has been selected as one of the six winners of the H2020 LCE2 call for projects, launched by the European Commission, for a total amount of โฌ75 million.
This call for projects aimed to select, among the 28 proposals submitted, the European territories as demonstrators of Smart Electrical Grids.
Enedis therefore proposed to install the French demonstrator in Nice, following the NICE GRID experiment which, as early as 2013, allowed the creation of an intelligent solar district in Carros, encouraging businesses and households to consume less and better by reducing or shifting their electricity consumption.
For Christian Estrosi, president of the Metropolis, “The goal now is to go further with this project that will involve six leading industrial partners.”
The Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis will participate in the steering committee of the INTERFLEX project, which will make all strategic decisions for the French demonstrator project.
