The circulation of TER trains is heavily disrupted throughout the entire PACA region. Following the announcement of this strike, Nice Côte d’Azur and the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes have implemented a specific plan to ensure the comfort of public transport users and to alleviate the inconvenience caused by these disruptions.
Lignes d’Azur has thus reinforced the service, as of last night, with two additional articulated buses to cope with the overload of passengers on the Nice-Beaulieu-Monaco route served by Line 100. An articulated bus can transport nearly twice as many passengers as a regular bus.
This morning, four articulated buses were added to the usual trips of Line 100 at 7:15 a.m., 7:40 a.m., 8:10 a.m., and 9:15 a.m. They left fully loaded, with a significant number of passengers observed at the Port of Nice.
In the event that the SNCF strike continues, the same arrangement is planned for the late afternoon, with the deployment of two or more articulated buses if necessary.
Staff has also been deployed on the ground, in addition to the agents from the Departmental Mobile Prevention and Security Brigade, particularly at the terminuses of Monaco and Nice, to ensure the safety of travelers and the maintenance of public order.
