The Social Innovation Fund (FISO) is operational in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
It allows the granting of an interest-free loan or a repayable advance for any type of company carrying an innovative, economically viable project that addresses unmet or poorly satisfied social needs in the regional territory.
The Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur Region, like eight other regions, volunteered to partner with the State and the Association of French Regions (ARF) to experiment, together with the regional direction of BPIfrance Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the creation of the Social Innovation Fund (FISO) in Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur, to support the socially innovative projects of regional companies.
In this context, social innovation is part of a broad vision of innovation. Beyond technological aspects, innovation is also societal, organizational, civic, related to usage, and linked to a new economic model…
The ARII, mandated by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, is responsible for managing this fund by leveraging regional expertise, on the one hand through a committee that analyzes the application files, and on the other by launching a call for available skills in the region*.
After approval by the technical selection committee (State, PACA Region, Bpifrance), the winners will be offered a loan contract by Bpifrance, which will subsequently manage the disbursement and follow-up of the FISO aid.
