For the fifth consecutive year since the election of Nicolas Sarkozy, job cuts in the national education system have been announced: 143 in the Nice Academy for the next school year, just in primary education.
This will once again result in the elimination of RASED positions (Specialized Support Network for Students in Difficulty) and an increase in the number of students per class. In kindergarten, including the youngest sections, classes of 30 students are becoming the norm.
This dismantling of the public service, premeditated and initiated well before the crisis, threatens the quality of education provided to our children. It is high time to reconsider education as an investment and to restore the eliminated positions in Education, which must once again become a major national cause.
