For the second time in its history, the CIST is divided into a women’s competition consisting of PV Praha (CZE), Laufer Wolfe (GER), Thiais (French vice-champion 2009), Bron-St Priest, and Nice Cavigal, and a men’s competition consisting of PV Praha (CZE), Amasoma (CZE), Die Hard (SUI), Pessac (French champion 2009), and Nice Cavigal.
Softball:
The little sister of Baseball, Softball was initially oriented towards female players. The spirit and principle of the game are the same with three major differences: the size of the field (smaller), the size of the ball (larger), and the type of pitch used by the pitcher (in Baseball: classic, overhand; in Softball: underhand, with a windmill rotation of the arm).
More accessible and more dynamic than Baseball, Softball has developed in male and mixed practices.
Cavigal:
At the end of 2009, the section had 139 members (4th club in Metropolitan France) divided into six categories (from young chicks to seniors). In 2010, the club enters its teams in eight Departmental, Regional, and National championships.
