-Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Restaurant Corvésy,
Calada Auguste Escoffier, Nice
During this end-of-year period, especially during the Christmas festivities, which are traditionally a time for sharing and solidarity, a festive evening is offered to those in extreme need and the homeless in a warm and friendly setting.
Thus, the Social Action Department of the city of Nice, its Communal Center for Social Action, the Salvation Army, Intersecours Nice, and associations working daily against poverty have organized a Christmas evening at the Corvésy restaurant.
The spirit of Christmas for everyone!
Celebrating Christmas is about accompanying, exchanging, and sharing with those who need it most. It is about giving a gift that has no price: a bit of time and warmth to those who are alone.
50 volunteers (from the Salvation Army, voluntary agents of the Social Affairs Department, and the CCAS) will welcome up to 200 guests from 6 p.m. onwards.
A festive meal will be served at 7 p.m., punctuated by entertainment, gift distribution, and musical interludes offered by the Salvation Army and “Trio Joker,” musicians from the National Regional Conservatory.
